Instructor & Choreographer
Dante’ Harpe played basketball almost everyday since the age of 5. That, however, changed when he began dancing in the summer of 2013. Joining Dancers with Soul, the Hip Hop Dance Team featured at Texas Tech University, served as his first performing and teaching dance experience. As he completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics at TTU, he also taught dance throughout the Lubbock community. Upon graduating, he moved back home to Killeen, TX and began teaching locally there as a Hip Hop Instructor and competition team director. Dante’ attributes his move to the Dallas area in 2018 as the mark of his progression in the dance world. Outside of teaching open classes and directing competition teams, Dante’ has performed with The Neighborhood, Rev Crew, and D-Town Crew (the Dallas Mavericks Hip Hop Team) and obtained his Master of Arts degree in Psychology this past Spring.
Dante’ trains fundamentally in hip hop, popping, locking, footwork, and breakdancing. He would like to express that his story should indicate that ‘it’s not about where you start, but where you finish’. Furthermore, that life itself is a journey, marked by a series of seasons that may call you to do what you never thought you would before as a total act of revealing your purpose. He believes that what we invest in (i.e. our work, our craft, our relationships) will be invested back and he’s ready to help students grow in this art form.
